Baby Brain

No, I am not pregnant! Just a little sneaky peak at what I have been up to with some inspiring ladies. Three beautiful women and three unique pregnancy portraits. Reminding us all that these moments are so precious.

Meet Yupin and Glen and their Bump. We had a lovely afternoon at Main Beach on the Gold Coast.

Yupin practicing her Yoga, looking every bit the Earth Mother.

Donna and John came into the studio for a family portrait before the arrival of a special someone for big sister Sarah.

John was making us all laugh.

Donna and her perfect belly. Awww.

And the lovely Christine.

Looking completely amazing and very content.

Congratulations to Yupin and Glen for the safe arrival of their little man. Donna and John who gave Sarah a little sister! And we are waiting Christine and wishing you well. Stay tuned for the beautiful baby pictures to follow.

Thank you all for sharing these precious moments with me.

The STYLE Queen

Its not often that I blog about my Commercial work. It is a big part of what I do but I know people love to hear about my weddings over my Corporate work, but this is different. This is Australia’s equivalent to Trinny and Susanna…Meet Sarah – The Beauty Tutor. Sarah graces TV frequently on Today Tonight and Domestic Blitz as well as magazines like New Idea and various radio spots because she is fabulous and she knows how to make us look and feel fabulous. Today it was my turn to make her feel this way.

BT31032010-0016

Sarah had been asking me for a while to make time for her and I succumbed to her charms finally and flew down to Sydney at Easter.

BT31032010-0038

Our first location was the grand old lady Queen Victoria Building where The Beauty Tutor is the Personal Shopper of choice.

BT31032010-0067

Isn’t she gorgeous, and here we are shopping with one of her lovely clients.(I think this job was made for me just quietly)

THREE is the new TWO

Welcome back, it has been a little while since my last posting. I thought I would return with the beautiful love story of Elissa and Michael. Elissa has had me booked in as her chosen photographer for 2 years now and has been a faithful watcher of my work, NO PRESSURE or anything! Actually I didn’t feel any pressure, I knew this was going to be a really special day, I knew the bond that was alive and well in their relationship and I knew that their two year old son Chase was going to steal the show. Today three people declared their love for each other, please enjoy.

EM05032010-0477

We started very, very early at Michael’s house. Chase, the little darling offered me an iceblock to start my day….It was tempting. Did I mention how cute he is?

 EM05032010-0011

Michael looking sharp. Ben you did well too.

EM05032010-0497

EM05032010-0534

We headed over to Rydges at Southbank to see the ladies. Not even a hint of nerves from Elissa who looked very fresh for such an early start.

EM05032010-0052

EM05032010-0589

I couldn’t resist the lamp. Elissa you look amazing. Very Hollywood glamour in the “Marylin” dress.

EM05032010-0593

EM05032010-0067

Oh and here he is over at Mummy’s room ready to steal the show again.

EM05032010-0620

EM05032010-0669

The ceremony was at Mater Hill Holy Trinity. I have always wanted to photograph here and I wasn’t disappointed. But hey if you look at Michael’s face below we could have been in the Sistine Chapel for all her cared. He had eyes only for one thing.

EM05032010-0715

EM05032010-0782

One of Michael’s beautiful Grans and congratulations all around.

EM05032010-0862

EM05032010-0972

Oh hello, who do we have here stealing the limelight. Too cute.

EM05032010-0984

EM05032010-0249

We headed over to Roma Street Parklands for the cocktail reception. We had a little bit of rain but it did nothing to dampen the spirits or the laughs from Vivian (Best lady extraordinaire)

A bit of a groovy red wall.

EM05032010-1152

EM05032010-1189

Now please explain why their is a colourful cake – Mick is a gamer, not just any gamer he is a writer of some very amazing games, and he met Elissa through this. So it is only fitting that Super Mario marry his Princess and have a fab cake.

 EM05032010-1195

EM05032010-1349

We had some hilarious speeches form all. This shot below is the reason I photograph, when people are not watching I get to see what really happens, how they interact, how they share their love in their own special little ways, it may be a look or like this the stroke of her hair and you just know.

EM05032010-1355

EM05032010-1404

Or it could be a special dance to seal the deal. Elissa and Michael thank you for coming into my home two years ago and trusting me for this long and letting me give you moments from your amazing day with your amazing little man. I cannot wish enough happiness for you three.

A Portrait of Home

I am a country girl. I come from one of the most glorious regions in Australia being Grenfell in country NSW. The heart of the wheat belt and a place that will always have my heart. I try to get home to my family as often as possible and during my last visit this January I was so lucky to photograph the lovely Matthews Family. Tristen (Mum) said the last time she had a family photograph the kids were babies! Oh dear they are teenagers now!

M19012010-0011

I suggested that we take the photos on the family farm. Knowing home like I do I knew the light would be incredible and we did the sitting half an hour before sunset. The light just lingers…A dream for any photographer, and a beautiful farm too.

M19012010-0024

M19012010-0072

Yes we are not babies any more.

M19012010-0087

Yes, it is a big tractor tyre.

Oh the light, the light. And what an amazing family. Thank you Tristen and David, perhaps we wont leave it so long in between photos this time.

Marry Me Melbourne

Hello all. A few times a year we get asked to do weddings in awesome places and one of my favourite destinations is Melbourne. Jason and Simone asked us to make the journey down to fabulous Melbourne for their wedding in January this year. I was very excited at the chance to photograph around Williamstown and also because they are an amazing couple. We had perfect weather and Simone looked as breathtaking as all of the great locations around the water we had to choose from. Jason, you look good to mate. Please enjoy.

We had a heap of fun with Simone and her sister Mel before heading downstairs to the boys.
